Over the last several months, we have added products to help protect your child.  We began with offering Child ID cards, which feature the child's photo, fingerprint, and personal description.  We have printed nearly 75 of these cards for kids in Winnebago, Pecatonica, Durand, Byron and Rockford.  The laminated ID cards have been a big hit at the Street Dance, Family Safety Fest, and the Scarecrow and Pumpkin Festival.  



Just recently we began making our own Child ID Kits.  (Pitctured above) These kits contain a cotton swab for a DNA sample, fingerprint card and ink strips.  The front of kit hold a place for a photo and your child's personal information.  These kits can be a one-stop source of information in case of emergency. 

Either the ID Card or the Kit can be obtained at the Police Department Monday-Friday between 8am and 4pm.  We simply ask that you call ahead for the ID cards, as they require an officer present to take your child's print.
