The Village of Winnebago requires all individuals/businesses wishing to go door-to-door to solicit new business to apply for a permit.  The permit process includes a background check on all sales personnel.  All solicitors will be issued a photo ID by the Village.  Also, as permits are issued, the solicitor information along with their photo will be posted on this website. 

If you are approached by a solicitor or see an individual soliciting in your neighborhood without a permit, please contact the Police Department as soon as possible at 815-335-2351.
