D.A.R.E. Program
A new school year means a new D.A.R.E. class!  September 9th marks the first official day of D.A.R.E. for Winnebago 5th graders.  Officer Tim McGinness will be returning this year as D.A.R.E. instructor.  Officer McGinness had a great time with last years class and he has already met the students and is excited for what this year will bring.

At this time, the D.A.R.E. graduation date and D.A.R.E. parent night date have not been set.  Please check back soon to this site for more information.  Information will also be sent home with all of the 5th grade students when dates and times have been agreed upon.

Chief Todd Stockburger, Judge Ron White, and D.A.R.E. Officer Time McGinness after the 7th grade D.A.R.E. graduation.  Judge White gave an excellent address about the choices we all face.

Mr. Jim Morrisey, a member of the 1985-1986 Championship Chicago Bears team spoke at last year's 5th grade D.A.R.E. graduation.  Mr. Morrisey spoke about team mates who were not able to resist drugs and how they lost everything they had worked so hard for.  Mr. Morrisey also accepted numerous questions from the students.
